After several visits to secondary schools under Where Are You Dad foundation, we realized a huge gap between schools and institutions of higher learning. Secondary school students based their subject selection on guesswork and not on their career interest. The information they had on institutions of higher learning and courses offered was scanty or incorrect. UNISEK was born to primarily address this problem.
In addition, given the implementation of CBC by the government, proper and accurate information that helps learners pursue careers that match the gifts, passions and talents is key. UNISEK, therefore, ensures that this particular purpose is achieved.

The past of UNISEK is closely intertwined with Where Are You Dad foundation. WayD foundation is a nonprofit making organization supporting single mothers and people growing up in a father absent home. It was during the activities of WayD foundation that the idea of UNISEK was born.
Primarily, UNISEK envisions a future where ones past will not hinder them from gaining information for their career choice. Many children growing up in poor homes have very little or no access to authentic academic information. This ought to change.
